Teaching.com Supports Orphanage in Liberia

January 9th, 2018 by Austin Butler

Why do you wake up early every morning to teach?

It’s more than just a job to pay the bills, isn’t it? You teach because you want to have a positive impact on students and society. You want to open eyes to new ideas and open doors to new possibilities for the world’s youth.

At Teaching.com, our mission is to help educators around the world do just that.

Through our educational apps and curricula, we aim to provide teachers’ with the best tools for their students.

Recently, though, we found a unique opportunity to help teachers in another way—— we were introduced to the Christ Children’s Home in Liberia, which is facing very different challenges than those we tend to see in the schools around us.

Christ Children’s Home is an organization that seeks to serve orphans in Liberia. This orphanage meets children’s needs for survival, but also provides them with a quality education.

Check out this video about the project… it’s a powerful reminder of the situations faced by kids around the world.

We were so moved by their efforts that we’ve just donated $5K to help the Save More Kids foundation purchase a truck for the Christ Children’s Home in Liberia.

I know some of the people involved in this project and their passion and determination are genuine.

They dedicate themselves to this work 100% and won’t settle for providing these children with anything less than the best.

When asked to help out, I was able to get a $5K match from my PR partner. Together we were able to donate the amount they needed for a new vehicle.

This truck will help the organization run their operations more efficiently, in order to better provide for the children in their care.

At Teaching.com we are excited to have the opportunity to promote education through a number of means, both close to home and from afar.

We invite you during this holiday season to consider the opportunities around you to support education.
